Turck has acquired the remaining 50% interest in Turck Chartwell Canada Inc. and thus is 100% owner of the new subsidiary. Effective January 2018, the new company name will be Turck Canada Inc. The automation specialist initially acquired the first 50% interest in its long term Canadian sales partner Chartwell Automation Inc. in 2014. Mark and Steve Boehmer, the two founders of Chartwell, have signed long-term management contracts. They will continue to lead the company as President and V.P. Sales and Marketing.

Christian Wolf, managing director of the Turck Group, is looking forward to the new subsidiary: “Our longstanding partnership was due in part to how highly compatible our two firms operated. Chartwell has been Turck’s exclusive partner in Canada since 1983 having successfully grown the Turck brand into one of the leading automation suppliers in Canada. We had similar corporate cultures, values and philosophies on doing business. Turck Canada Inc. will continue this success with the existing team in the Turck Group. With the 100% subsidiary, we are now able to intensify our commitment in Canada.”

“This is a very exciting event for both companies, for our employees, our distributor partners and customers”, says Steve Boehmer. “Our greatest assets have always been our people and now as a Turck subsidiary we believe that it will allow us to provide a wider array of services with enhanced knowledge and expertise. As a fully owned Turck company we will enjoy the benefit of access to all of the resources available through the world wide network that Turck has established.”
